Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Tongs

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 frozen salmon fillets salmon about 6 oz each, skin-on, individually frozen
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 slice lemon optional for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Meanwhile, remove the frozen salmon fillets from their packaging and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the oil and seasonings stick.
  • Brush both sides of the frozen salmon fillets with olive oil. Season generously on all sides with salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  • Place the seasoned frozen salmon fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, skin-side down. Do not overcrowd.
  • Cook the frozen salmon in the air fryer for 18-20 minutes, depending on thickness. There's no need to flip them. The salmon is done when it flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove the salmon from the air fryer and let it rest for 2 minutes. Serve immediately with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
