Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Meat Tenderizer

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank or skirt steak trimmed

Marinade

  • 0.25 cup orange juice fresh
  • 0.25 cup lime juice fresh
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp cumin ground
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Whisk together orange juice, lime juice, soy sauce, minced garlic, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, and olive oil in a bowl.
  • Pierce the steak with a fork several times and place it in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, ensuring it's fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 4 hours).
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry with paper towels. This helps the meat sear properly.
  • Place the steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium-rare or 145°F for medium.
  • Remove the steak from the air fryer and let it rest on a cutting board for 5-10 minutes. Slice against the grain and serve immediately.
